La Rombaia is a farm that covers about 25 hectares of land, which our family bought in 1968. Initially, our main activities were the vineyards and peach orchards, which yielded some 200 metric tons of fruit. Later on, when this sector began having problems, the farm switched crops, and we now grow olives, fruit and grains.
At the farm you can buy extra-virgin olive oil "IGP Toscano" from our 2300 trees (Frantoio, Leccino, Pendolino and Moraiolo cultivars).
Olive oil, rich in monounsatured fatty acids and with few saturated and polyunsaturated fatty acids, has all of the requisites of an ideal food and is therefore preferred over all other oils. It also had a pleasant taste and maintains its characteristics during cooking, The nutritious use of olives and olive oil har survived over the last six thousand year.
